Engineered Building Inspections Ltd. (EBI) is one of the leading home inspection companies in the Vancouver area. Our office is based in West Vancouver and we carry out inspections throughout most of the Lower Mainland. Matt Foxall P.Eng., the owner of EBI started the company in 1998.
Matt is a structural engineer who graduated from Engineering at the University of British Columbia in 1982. Matt spent the first ten years of his career designing commercial and industrial buildings in the Lower Mainland. In 1993, Matt took a new direction in his career and joined the most established home inspection company in the Vancouver area at the time. After five years of extensive training and hands on experience, Matt left the company and and started up his own private practice in the home inspection business.
Since 1992 Matt has inspected over 7,000 homes and apartments in the Lower Mainland. Through his advanced education, ongoing training and extensive hands on experience, Matt will carry out a very accurate and detailed inspection. At the end of each inspection he will provide an oral report detailing his findings. A typewritten report is also emailed to the client during the same working day. When you contact EBI, you will be deal directly with Matt. He will answer your phone call or email and you will have your questions or concerns dealt with immediately by him, without dealing with a receptionist or third party. Matt is an active member of the Association of Professional Engineers and Geologists of British Columbia (APEGBC). He is also a member of the National Association of Certified Home Inspectors (NACHI). NACHI is the world's largest and most elite home inspection association. It is a non-profit organization with members in 23 countries. NACHI is the international home of over 10,000 home inspectors worldwide. NACHI's Standards of Practice is now the standard in the inspection home industry. It is by far the largest most comprehensive set of guidelines available to home inspectors.
